Triangle After School Club (TASC)
Triangles Pre-School
Triangle After School Club (TASC) was founded in September 1997 by Liss Community Association (LCA) with the aim to provide high quality, affordable out of school hours care. It employs a team of qualified staff with the support of volunteers all of whom have relevant police checks. The club is registered with the local authorities and is inspected regularly by OfSTED (TASC Ofsted No. 509518). The current inspection report can be viewed at www.ofsted.gov.uk.
We provide a well resourced, wide variety of activities which include arts/crafts, role play, construction, small worlds play and physical activities e.g. indoor football. When weather permits we have use of a small playground where children can experience various outdoor pursuits.
With the support of adults children are encouraged to be self motivated and choose the activities they would like to do.
A small library is on hand to support children with their homework or if they just want to unwind with a book.
TASC encourages children to take a part in the wider community by annually producing art work for the LCA Art Exhibition. The children's work is displayed along side that of the local art community. We also enter pieces in the annual Liss Horticultural Show. This year is our first foray into growing potatoes by taking part in the British Potato Council's trials for schools.

Triangles opened in 1997 and is a private pre-school run by Elaine Healey. At Triangles we aim to provide a happy, caring and stimulating environment where pre-school children feel secure and cared for and where each child feels confident to make friends and develop their individual personality and skills.
The pre-school is registered with Ofsted under the Children Act 1989 for a maximum of 30 children per session in two classrooms, with an adult ratio of 1:4 for children aged 2-3 years and 1:8 for children aged 3-5 years.
We provide a high standard of learning through play with sessions running each morning during term time and on two afternoons. For children between the ages of 2 and 5 years, the pre-school provides a curriculum for the foundation stage of education. There are a wide variety of activities for the children including pre-reading, writing and number work, art, craft, cookery, gardening, imaginative and outside play, music, songs and stories. The pre-school also caters for children's individual needs for rest and quiet activities during the day.
The pre-school rooms are spacious, warm, light and airy with wood block flooring, low surface temperature radiators, display boards and security locks to doors. There is direct access to an internal courtyard for sand and water play pits in summer. A walled external play area is also available for outdoor games, bikes etc. There are private low-level children's toilets and hand basins with paper towels, and easy access to a disabled toilet.
