Triangle After School Club (TASC) "Flexibile, Familiar and Fun!"

CollageThe Triangle After School Club (TASC) is a "not for profit" Club set up 13 years ago to provide after school care for families in Liss.  We offer a flexible approach to childcare and you can book your children with us for just an hour, or a full session from 3.15pm - 6.00pm.  The Club is well resourced with a wide variety of activities for the children which includes a strong focus on fun.  The club is registered with the local authorities and is inspected regularly by OfSTED (TASC Ofsted No. 509518). The current inspection report can be viewed at www.ofsted.gov.uk.

Flexible:

The Club is open during term time, from 3.15-6.00pm Mondays to Fridays.  We have made it easier for parents to book by introducing a more flexible approach.  In addition to our standard session time, you can now book by the hour for just £4.00 / hour and you can book with us when you need to - it does not have to be a regular booking.

We are also introducing a Sibling Discount of 15% which will be available from the start of the September term.

Familiar:

The Club is managed by Sandy Turner, who also works as a Learning Support Assistant in Liss Infant School.  This provides great comfort to many of our younger children who already know Sandy from school and happily make the transition from school to our Club.  Sandy is well supported by a team of qualified of staff, all of whom have the required police checks.

  • We are non-denominational and promote equal opportunities throughout the setting.
  • TASC provides a "walking bus" service between Liss schools and The Triangle.
  • Fruit and drinks are served on arrival at the centre in line with government guidelines.

Snow sceneFun:

We have a strong focus on arts and crafts in the club and children are encouraged to express their creativity in a variety of ways.  We also offer the following:  role play and dressing-up, construction toys, small worlds play and puzzles and games.  The children have the use of an outdoor playground where they can enjoy a range of traditional games which includes, skipping, hopscotch, hula hooping and more.

With the support of adults children are encouraged to be self motivated and choose the activities they would like to do.  A small library is on hand to support children with their homework or if they just want to unwind with a book.

The Club encourages children to take a part in the wider community by annually producing art work for the LCA Art Exhibition.  We also enter pieces in the annual Liss Horticultural Show. We also take part in the British Potato Council's project by growing our own potatoes.

Triangles Pre-School

Triangle Pre-school ClassroomTriangles opened in 1997 and is a private pre-school run by Elaine Healey.  At Triangles we aim to provide a happy, caring and stimulating environment where pre-school children feel secure and cared for and where each child feels confident to make friends and develop their individual personality and skills.

The pre-school is registered with Ofsted under the Children Act 1989 for a maximum of 30 children per session in two classrooms, with an adult ratio of 1:4 for children aged 2-3 years and 1:8 for children aged 3-5 years.

We provide a high standard of learning through play with sessions running each morning during term time and on two afternoons.  For children between the ages of 2 and 5 years, the pre-school provides a curriculum for the foundation stage of education.  There are a wide variety of activities for the children including pre-reading, writing and number work, art, craft, cookery, gardening, imaginative and outside play, music, songs and stories.  The pre-school also caters for children's individual needs for rest and quiet activities during the day.

Triangle Pre-School ActivitiesThe pre-school rooms are spacious, warm, light and airy with wood block flooring, low surface temperature radiators, display boards and security locks to doors.  There is direct access to an internal courtyard for sand and water play pits in summer.  A walled external play area is also available for outdoor games, bikes etc.  There are private low-level children's toilets and hand basins with paper towels, and easy access to a disabled toilet.
