Beer and Music Festival

Preparations are in full swing for our Beer and Music Festival on 25th August. We have 9 fabulous beers and we have tried to support as many local breweries as we can this year. We also have two delicious ciders coming from Mr Whitehead as well as a Thatchers Trad. We would like to express our enormous thanks to all of our sponsors and of course our volunteers for their help.  The Triangle is self funded and we rely on your generosity and support to keep this facility open for the community. Please come and join us on the 25th from 2pm onwards.

Our Sponsors this year are:

Norad Travel, RCD Hoare (Selbourne) Ltd, St Peter’s Vets Ltd, The Brain Tumor Charity, Syn-Star, MMCG, Peter Stemp, Liss Garage Services, Sandra Cartwright (Travel Counsellors), Chapplins Estate Agents. Additional thanks to Mainline Scaffolding for the loan of the stillage.

Waitrose Community Matters

We have been selected to take part in the August Waitrose Community Matters scheme.

If you are shopping in Waitrose in Petersfield, please think of us and place your green token in our box.  All money donated will go towards keeping the Triangle open!

Volunteer Projectionist

We are currently looking for film projectionists! If you are good with projectors and an HDMI cable and fancy volunteering for us once a month we would love to hear from you! We have a matinee and an evening performance of our films which we show (usually) the 3rd Saturday of each month. We have many people in the village that love our regular films and we really need help to keep it going!

Liss Open Gardens – Sunday 25th June 2017

Liss Community Association is delighted to announce its first Open Gardens event which will take place on Sunday 25th June 2017 from 11am – 5pm.

Nineteen gardens will be open across the village and visitors will be able to hop on and off a dedicated shuttle bus, which will be on hand all day, to ensure they get to visit all of the beautiful gardens. The Triangle will be open and serving delicious refreshments including sandwiches, homemade cakes, hot and cold drinks and Pimms! Local gardening celebrity Peter Catt will be conducting the official opening ceremony and be on hand to answer your gardening questions.

You can stroll around in large formal gardens with wide sweeping lawns or enjoy smaller gardens bustling with ideas and inspiration for your own garden. Riverside locations, cottage gardens, ponds, formal vegetable and herb gardens, rose gardens and beautiful terraced lawns are open to discover. Whether it’s the result of a keen amateur gardeners’ hard work, or the expertise of professional garden designers, you will find much to inspire you.

We want to encourage the children of Liss to get involved with this event and would love them to design their own mini garden in a tub/container of their choice. We would ask that the gardens are brought down to the Triangle Centre by 11am on 25th June where they will be judged by members of the Horticultural Society. The gardens will then be on display for all of our visitors to admire at The Triangle!

Entry to Open Gardens is by ticket only. Tickets cost £5 per adult. Tickets, programmes containing full detailed descriptions of the gardens and shuttle bus tickets (£2 per adult) will be available from The Triangle from Friday May 26th.
