Olympics Come to Liss

Liss Walking 4 Health group with the Olympic torch

The Olympics came to Liss Infant School, when Matt James took along his Olympic torch for the children to see and be photographed with. Matt explained that this torch is held by the Metropolitan Police, and has 8,000 holes, to represent each of the torch carriers.  The Liss Walking 4 Health group were equally delighted to have the opportunity to take a closer look.  Pictured holding the torch is walk leader Charmian Porton, chairman of the LCA, with members of the group.
