The Coffee Bar is open from Monday to Saturday from 9.30am till 11.45am and is run solely by volunteers. We serve good coffee, tea and other drinks as well as delicious cakes and biscuits, all at very reasonable prices.
The Coffee Bar was started up as a pop-in centre for local people in January 1997 and it is has indeed become very popular for that - a warm and welcoming place to meet friends or simply to read a magazine or paper in comfortable surroundings. It also provides welcome refreshments for those participating in the many classes now held at the Centre and when the sun shines there is a lovely patio area to sit in.
The walls of the Coffee Bar area are decorated with an ever-changing display of paintings by local artists and most of these are for sale.
